Street Sense Stakes Contenders

#1 VOST: Will Walden's trainee is well drawn on the fence for his second run on the course. The bay son of Instagrand ran a solid third in the Iroquois S. (G3) on the strip most recently and has a lot of room to improve going forward. I’m expecting the February foal to sit a fine voyage and upset the group beneath Luis Saez.

#2 GANAAS: Shadwell homebred has yet to be tested from a pair of sprint runs to date and will go long for the initial time on this occasion. The Andrew McKeever trainee is very quick and also proven on the surface, as well. The War Front colt is bred to run long and could be the one to catch beneath Edgar Morales.

#3 UNIVERSE: Global Campaign colt was a sharp debut winner at Saratoga prior to rallying late to be third behind a nice one in the Champagne S. (G1) second time out. The $75,000 yearling purchase will run with blinkers off in this endeavor, and the McPeek trainee put in a solid five-eighths on the oval in advance of his local bow and will have Jose Ortiz in the silks.

#4 VERY CONNECTED: Second from the McPeek shedrow graduated on the strip in an off-the-turf tilt most recently in advance of his black-type bow. The $180,000 Connect colt has improved with each lifetime run to date, but he will need a big move in the right direction on Saturday to be in the mix late under Esquivel.

#5 BRICKLIN: $450,000 Nyquist colt got up late to win in his second assignment at Indiana last time in his first run with blinkers on. The Brissett pupil will evolve with more seasoning, but looks to be a cut below the top guns in the heat at this stage of his development. Tyler Gaffalione has the call.

#6 I DID I DID: Top-three threat was a clear winner while making his local debut on Sept. 14 and rates a winning chance with Irad taking the reins. The Mike Maker trainee is proven at the distance and possesses the positional speed to be well placed throughout the contest, too. Curlin colt wouldn’t be a major surprise.

#7 INCREDIBOLT: Riley Mott pupil came home with terrific energy in his maiden triumph on the course last time out and has the look of a nice prospect. The son of Bolt d’Oro must overcome the outside draw in this endeavor, but he could be up to the task under the guidance of Jaime Torres. The Kentucky-bred will be doing his best work inside the final furlong.
