Adirondack Stakes Contenders

#1 BANDMASTER (20-1): Second timer for Oscar Barrera gets a tricky slot on the fence and comes off a game maiden win from off the pace last time out. The Enticed filly faces a much tougher task on this occasion and would be a surprise from this post with Jose Lezcano in the irons.

#2 CAROLINE’S GIRL (9-2): Maximus Mischief filly rallied for a dominant win following a slow break at Lone Star and comes in after being sent to trainer Saffie Joseph. The filly is a wildcard in the field, but she surely was visually impressive in her score and also earned a solid Brisnet Speed rating, as well. She could be any kind under Flavien Prat.

#3 PIERETTE (3-1): Top pick from the Casse shedrow has yet to be defeated from a pair of lifetime runs in advance of this and was last seen bagging the Debutante S. at Churchill Downs. The $475,000 daughter of Girvin has been professional in winning from off the pace in both runs in advance of this and will be coming on in the lane under Jose Ortiz.

e #4 WASHTON (5-1): Second timer from the always dangerous Asmussen shedrow got up by a nose at first asking and will move forward for a trainer who is better second time out. The chestnut daughter of Mitole posted a nice half-mile drill on the Oklahoma training surface last time, and she also overcame a tricky rail post in her unveiling, too. Ricardo Santana, Jr. will pilot the win threat.

#5 LUMINOUS BEAUTY (10-1): Flameaway filly from the barn of Jena Antonucci graduated on this oval in a fine run two back before failing to fire late in the Schuylerville S. last time out. The speedy sort has a nice draw with some pace to her inside and could be in the mix turning for home, with Jose Morelos on board.

#6 SCARLETT BEGONIA (5-2): Morning-line choice by fine debut sire Life is Good lived up to his 3-5 odds on debut with a going-away tally at Ellis Park and could surely be the one in her first appearance at The Spa. The precocious miss is kin to a stakes winner and will run for a trainer who has had a lot of success with two-year-olds at the current meet. Irad will take the reins.

#7 PRIME AURORA (10-1): Filly was a distant third in the Schuylerville last time and will move forward having a run over the course. A dominant winner at Gulfstream Park two back, the Gardea trainee rates as a top-three contender with John Velazquez retaining the ride.

#8 STRESS RELIEF (8-1): Not This Time filly led virtually throughout en route to a five-length romp beneath the Twin Spires in her initial showing. The homebred is out of a stakes heroine and could follow in her footsteps with an advantageous voyage beneath Junior Alvarado.

#9 ALMIGHTY ONE (15-1): Kevin Rice trainee has flashed potential on the synthetic in preparation for this affair and will need improvement while making her main-track debut. The Jimmy Creed filly was a closing fourth in the My Dear S. at Woodbine most recently and will be coming from off the early tempo with Manny Franco picking up the ride.
