While racing fans are already getting eager for the lucrative cards this weekend at Pimlico and The Meadowlands, standardbred fans will have plenty of action Tuesday evening as Harrington, Rosecroft and Yonkers Raceways all host competitive programs.

In the sixth race at Rosecroft Raceway this evening, a non-winners of $6001 last five starts condition for filly-mare pacers, Boca Hanover looms as the first serious play of the evening. A durable, consistent mare trained and driven by Frank Milby, Boca Hanover saw her five-race win streak come to an end last week when she finished third following a third over effort after missing three weeks. She should regain her winning ways this evening, while Brite Jet will prove a challenge.

One race later in the seventh, a competitive group of nine aged pacers will go postward in the $12,000 Open. Any of a quintet of horses can prevail in this group, including Shady Breeze, Winbak Carl, Dalhousie Dave, Fearless Diablo and Varsity Hanover. Shady Breeze was the beaten favorite in this event last week and has the rail this evening, while Winbak Carl won this class twice before settling for second in his most recent outing.

But Fearless Diablo and Varsity Hanover also merit respect in this group despite drawing posts seven and eight, respectively. Fearless Diablo finished third in the Open last week after winning two straight overnight events. Varsity Hanover has been second twice, third once and fourth once in the top class and could finally prevail this evening at a decent price despite the unlucky draw.

One race later in the $12,000 Filly-Mare Open, Megs Breeze will look to put the finishing touches on her spring horse of the meet campaign for the father-son, trainer-driver tandem of William "Bib" Roberts and Jonathan Roberts. Megs Breeze has won five of seven starts and been second in each of her two defeats against local distaffers. Last week she finished second in a good try and she has yet to be upended in two straight starts over the local oval.

But a solid group will look to temporarily unseat the queen of this division. Together Again won this class two starts back and was third in each of her last two outings. Rocket Rosy is actually the defending champion of this event, while Fran Luck moves up off her win in the Open 2.

One race later in the Open 2 for the older boys, Colossal Cruiser steps up off a sharp win against conditioned pacers last week and keeps Tony Morgan, who had choice of four drives in this event. Lislea Pat is tough and consistent and always merits respect, while Osceola Gold moves up despite the sick scratch last week. He brings a six-race win streak into this event for owner-trainer Jeannemarie Kurowski.

Tuesday's Harrington card also puts a strong emphasis on the pacing distaffers.

In the fourth race, a non-winners of $10,501 last five/optional $25,000 claiming race, the two mares that drew the inside spots should dominate this event. Sha Delight draws the rail following a good second-place effort last week and Angelwithanattitude, again in for the tag, will start alongside that one while seeking her third straight score.

Two races later in the $17,000 Filly-Mare Open, Jeremes Sweetheart looks primed for her best effort in her second start over the oval after two tries at Harrah's Philadelphia. During the Dover Downs meet, Jeremes Sweetheart was a fixture in the tough, Filly-Mare Open at the Delaware five-eighths mile oval and will be difficult to beat here despite drawing post six.

Looking to upend the 'Sweetheart' is another mare accustomed to facing the top distaffers at Dover all winter. Monochromatic won 13 of 30 starts last year en route to earning over $200,000 for trainer Dylan Davis and she has already won twice in four outings this year at Dover. She returns following a two-month layoff and a decent qualifier and she draws the rail for her return, but Monochromatic will probably need a race or two to regain peak form.

The Tuesday card at Yonkers highlights the $20,000 claimers in a series, but the best plays of the night are literally at the end of the card.

In the 10th, a non-winners of four races lifetime class for three- and four-year-old pacers, take a swing on Design Guru despite his unlucky outside eight-hole draw. Two weeks ago in the much faster split condition of this event, Design Guru was second to Exit Cam who basically ran away and his from the group in 1:53 - the other division went in 1:56. Gold Rocks draws the rail for his three-year-old debut off three qualifiers and should complete the exacta.

Then in the finale, look for Johns Polyview to turn the tables on Rocks N Bonds. In their last meeting two weeks ago, Johns Polyview raced first over into a good back half as Rocks N Bonds led throughout to score in 1:57. But Johns Polyview moves in several spots and should be tightened by the effort and will likely be twice the price as Rocks N Bonds to his inside.
