Turf Paradise 60th Anniversary

Turf Paradise will open for its 60th season of racing Saturday, October 17. The 136-day meet will continue through May 8. The racetrack offers both Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing, five days a week, as well as a host of special promotional days for residents and visitors to Phoenix, Arizona.

Turf Paradise’s Quarter Horse stakes schedule includes three AQHA Bank of America Challenge Championship races in the spring, all of which will be run on May 1; the 440-yard, $60,000-added Bank of America Turf Paradise Championship Challenge; the 350-yard, $25,000-added John Deere Turf Paradise Juvenile Challenge and the 870-yard, $17,000-added Zoetis Turf Paradise Distance Challenge.

Turf Paradise will also welcome Robert Fox as its new track announcer. Fox is the voice of Ruidoso Downs

Turf Paradise in Phoenix, Arizona opens for its 60th racing season



during the summer months. He replaces Michael Chamberlain, who is now the full-time announcer at Evangeline Downs in Opelousas, Louisiana.
