With no one hitting TwinSpires' Breeders' Cup Place Jackpot on either Friday or Saturday's Breeders' Cup cards, there will be a mandatory payout of the Place Jackpot on Sunday's program at Churchill Downs.

Players who opted in and participated on Friday and/or Saturday are eligible to compete for the mandatory payout on Sunday, worth $12,000. Players who cash a $5 place bet on at least four races at Churchill Downs on Sunday will earn an even share of the mandatory payoff.

If no player hits four races, the jackpot will be split among players who cash a place bet on at least three races. If no player hits three races, the jackpot will be split among players who cash a place bet on at least two races.

The featured ninth race at Churchill on Sunday is a 1 1/16-mile, second-level allowance for 3-year-old fillies on the turf. #5 WINDRACER (5-1) has the distinction of having won her debut last year against Love, who developed into a superstar in Europe this season with victory in the 1000 Guineas (G1) and Epsom Oaks (G1).

Windracer won her U.S. debut at Arlington in August, but was overmatched in a Grade 3 Saratoga next out and then finished fifth over the unfamiliar Tapeta surface in a stakes at Woodbine last time. The daughter of Showcasing is capable of better returning to a more appropriate level and is one to consider when competing for the Place Jackpot prize.
