How to bet the 2025 Carle Place Stakes

A strong and well-matched field of 10 three-year-olds will dash six panels on the Aqueduct outer lawn in Sunday’s $150,000 Carle Place S. Two contenders in the cast were last seen competing in the especially deep Franklin Simpson S. (G1) at Kentucky Downs, and I feel that both will be prominent in this spot.
Carle Place Wagers
Mike Maker’s #5 Out on Bail (9-2) forced wicked early splits before tiring late in that lucrative race most recently and lands in a more realistic spot on Sunday. By Tiz the Law, the gray had won or placed in each of his eight lifetime runs before his venture to Kentucky Downs, amassing a black-type win and four stakes placings along the way.
The New York-bred colt is fast but has proven to be effective coming from off the pace in the past, and the versatile colt could sit an ideal trip against this group. Joel Rosario picks up the mount and will have him in the second flight early and pouncing on the leaders at the top of the lane.
The grey #10 Out on Bail scores in his turf debut in R2 at Saratoga for trainer Mike Maker with @iradortiz aboard! 🍀

Bill Mott’s #10 Spiced Up (2-1), 12th in the Franklin Simpson as the 2-1 favorite, was victorious in his first pair of races on the green led by a fast-closing triumph in the Mahony S. (G3) at Saratoga. The Juddmonte homebred gets a pass for his latest outing and comes into this race with a trio of useful morning works to be ready for his first run on this course. I feel that there will be adequate early pace to set the deep-closing colt up for success inside the final furlong. Junior Alvarado will pilot the Quality Road sophomore.
#2 Forged Steel (10-1) cuts back in distance to a trip that will aid him for Saffie Joseph Jr. The gray Vekoma colt was a respectable sixth in the $2 million Gun Runner S. at Kentucky Downs most recently and will appreciate the measure of class relief in this dash. He will be forwardly placed from the break with Javier Castellano in the silks. #8 No Evidence (3-1), also by Vekoma, has earned stakes placings in three of his last four tries and is an obvious exotics contender to me. Miguel Clement trainee will stalk the early action beneath Manny Franco.
