Presque Isle Downs Selections and Analysis for Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025

Dick Powell handicaps the Tuesday card at Presque Isle Downs.

Race 1

1st: (4) ENAHM – drops down in class after missing by a neck in a fast turf sprint at Colonial Downs then he raced evenly there. He drops way down in class for Phil Schoenthal who wins 25% with this move and 23% switching to Tapeta. 

2nd: (5) CHUBS ROCKET – broke his maiden here in his seventh starts then ran well against $12.5K claimers the next three starts. He drops down in class off a career-best win for Kevin Rice who wins 33% with this move. 

3rd: (1) CAMILO – alternates between sprints and two-turn races but drops in class today going six furlongs. 

Race 2

1st: (4) GOLDENN DOGECOIN – just missed as the 3-5 favorite against this maiden claiming level then was an even fourth when moved up in class. The daughter of Goldencents drops back down to the right maiden level.  

2nd: (9) LIL’ BIG MUNNY – first-time starter from Miguel Clement who wins 18% with his debut runners and 21% against maiden claimers. This a long way to ship to give away a New York-bred.     

3rd: (10) FILLYRULES – has improved in her last three starts and was a close second the last time she faced these. 

Race 3

1st: (6) LA PANDA – horse for the course beat these two starts back coming from far back then raced even when moved too far up in class. She drops back down to the right level for Adam Rice who wins 32% with his claimers. 

2nd: (1) LIZZIE BABY – drops down to bottom claimers for the first time after an even second in good time. Tim Girten wins 21% with his synthetic-track starters and 20% with his claimers. 

3rd: (3) THINK IT THRU – dirt sprinter has good speed and makes her Tapeta debut at the age of seven. 

Race 4

1st: (5) BURNIN TURF – speedball has won four of his last five starts. He romped two starts in a row here against this group then moved up off the claim by Brandon Kulp and held on by a neck after falling behind a brutal pace. 

2nd: (7) THE BEST DISTANCE – won here in his lone start against this claiming level way back in June. He was a good winner three starts back for Juan Arriagada, who wins 42% with this dropdown.  

3rd: (1) T REX – one-dimensional closer won going away against state-bred allowance foes. 

Race 5

1st: (5) JIMMY THE HAT – has been up and down the class ladder this year and finishes up the season at the bottom. Three starts back, she romped against open allowance foes going this distance

2nd: (8) WHERE YOU WAS – horse for the course has won 10 times including a sharp win going six furlongs last out. He’s won long sprints before for Randy Russell who wins 25% with Gaddiel Martinez. 

3rd: (6) SNOWNAME – went gate to wire two starts back against similar for Addiel Ayala. 

Race 6

1st: (6) JACQUES COUSTEAU – first-time starter from Riley Mott who wins 8% with his debut runners. Son of Curlin (13% debut winners) is out of a dam by Stormy Atlantic (11% debut winners) that has produced a stakes winner.  

2nd: (4) INMATE – has been second in all three of his career starts here. Last out as the heavy favorite, he stretched out to two turns for Ron Potts who wins 32% first start after being beaten as the favorite.  

3rd: (2) NOBLE COURT – raced evenly in his career debut on the turf at Indiana then ran about the same race last out. 

Race 7

1st: (6) CHASING THE STORM – was soundly beaten in her career debut going two turns on the turf at Saratoga, then came here and won going away for Bill Mott who wins 19% first start after a maiden win.  

2nd: (7) MASON’S MUSIC – won three races on the Tapeta at Woodbine last year. All three starts this year came on turf and now she tries PID for Darwin Banach who wins 18% with this surface switch.

3rd: (8) MO SENSE – won here PID debut two starts back then was a good second in good time. 

Race 8

1st: (2) BRADITUDE – was racing well in turf sprints at Penn against better then shipped back here and held well for second when dropped down in class. Ron Rogers wins 20% with his claimers and they show a flat-bet profit. 

2nd: (6) COLONEL POPPY – turns back to a sprint after three straight two-turn starts. He has plenty of races in the past good enough to beat these for Scooter Davis, who wins 25% going long to short.  

3rd: (1) CHEEERS FOR KITTEN – switches back to synthetic after four decent turf sprints out of town.
