No stakes on tap this Sunday, and maybe the weather will cooperate enough for us to squeak in one more race card with some turf racing before we head towards the final weeks of the season. It’s that time of year when strange things happen, and you never know where prices could be coming from, so let’s take a look at this solid field of contenders going a route on the E.P. Taylor turf course:
Sunday, Race 7
Top Selection: #6 Dazzling Cruiser 3-1
The Play: $2 Exacta Box 5,6,7,8= $24

$2,500 Win Ladder at Woodbine Thoroughbred
Opt-in and place $10+ single horse Win wagers in all eligible races at Woodbine each racing Friday and Saturday in November. Winning wagers move you up the Win Ladder, the more races you win, the bigger your share of the $2,500 prize pool. This promotion ends on November 28, so don't miss out!
Top Pick: #6 Dazzling Cruiser 3-1
What a consistent performer she has been this campaign, hitting the board in all nine starts. She ran a career-best 88 Brisnet speed rating on her first trip over this course and was second best on the day to a nice filly in Talent Show, who is a five-time winner in 2026. I love how this filly has kept improving throughout her campaign, and if the race should come off the turf, she should be fine over the all-weather surface. Aebly is only 1-for-12 for Chircop this meet, which does give cause for pause.
Wildcard: #5 Zo Zucchera 6-1
Stablemate to Dazzling Cruiser has yet to make her local debut after being claimed in Florida back in March. That could be viewed as both a positive and a negative. I am looking at the positives – she has fresh legs, is proven at the distance, and is 6-for-7 in the trifecta over turf. In her most recent, she was bested by Galley Head, who has had a decent campaign locally this year. For whatever reason, she's had an extended layoff, but there is no doubt that Chircop can have them ready off the bench. The one thing she depends on is pace, and the lone speed horse, Keytothepark, may end up wiring them all.
Another wildcard: #8 I’ve Got the Honey 15-1
I know this gal may not be at her best right now; however, what I like is that she has fresh legs, which is a big bonus at this time of year. She's finished in the money 50% of the time on the grass and was second at her only try at the distance. This will be her first journey over the outer course, which may suit her liking better over the tighter turn grass oval. Mark Casse has solid numbers with second starts off a layoff. The drop in class should help, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a big effort here today.
Longshot: #2 Retail Therapist 10-1
The seven-year-old mare had some good results going this distance down in Florida earlier this season, where she opened her 2026 campaign at Tampa, but against much easier competition. The question is whether she can replicate those races here now, as she has been competing at short distances. The interesting part of this race will be the pace, since all of the entrants have the same closing-type style.
Good luck and safe trips for all.
