Weekend Feature Races
Another exciting weekend of action here at bestbet Jacksonville. Loads of talent on tap over 550 and 660 yards, and as always, a little something for everyone. Some evenly matched up races, along with some stand out stars, and you get a good mix of chalk and pick your spot wagering this weekend at bestbet Jacksonville. Let’s look closer at the races and see if we can get you cashing some tickets this weekend.
Friday evening December 2nd, 2016 –
Race 7 – The outside posted Miss Marge has the advantage in this race. Breaking well as of late the solid grade A should be able to see the lead and wire the field tonight. Pressing the leader late will be the veteran closer Beachin from the rail post position and don’t forget about the other early speeders here too. Gs Humongous can hit the lid from the outside and should be a front running threat, and Pat C Bo likes the new racetrack and even up in grade, should contend. (8-1-7-3)
Race 10 – Good mix of early and late speed here, but class plays a part as well. Lee Raven might not be in the best post, but her late kick, her solid grade A status, and a win last time out, and 3 in 6 races, gets her home a winner. She will have to catch Ww Speed Train if she wants to get the job done. Speed Train lives up to the name with loads of early, but she can be short late. Others to worry about include Former stakes runners Idaho Kinky and Gs Viola. Both must break to factor tonight. (1-3-5-4)
Race 11 – The biggest name on the weekend is in this race. Crowd favorite, and tremendous closer, Charlie Bale is here and is looking to get back winning after a trouble ridden race last time out. No lead is safe if he wants to go, and the post makes for a winner tonight. Look for him to run down the early speeder, the pacesetter, and everyone else at the wire. Speaking of those, they would include the 6 race in the trifecta runner, and early speeder, Ww’s O Not Again, the solid A staking threat Boc’s Andross, and the in a groove right not runner Easi Athena. (6-8-1-7)
Race 15 – Over to 660 for this one and let’s give a nod to the upstart. Gs Carrie has won 3 of her last 4 races over the route includes a near box to wire gem last time out. From a better post, expect better things. Out and gone early on, she finds a way to hold on again. Pushing the leader late will be the solid A, and finals vet, Pat C Fracking. Third in the Orange Park Derby finals, if he gets loose, he will not be denied tonight. Others to consider include the always closing C Ville C Alice and the well posted steady gaining runner Flying Gigawatt. (3-2-5-1)
Saturday matinee December 3rd, 2016 –
Race 11 – Puppy power here as Ln Bryce Petty is figuring it all out at bestbet Jacksonville. Some early and enough left late, he can beat you in multiple ways. Posted well inside today, he keeps the mojo going strong with another strong performance. Looking for the checkered flag late, he finds a way to win again. Pressing him late will be the multi-stakes vet Atascocita Pirro. Clearly a play back after his last start, he might even get up to surprise in this effort. Running well as of late, finally back in A, he makes his presence known in this one. Watch out for Sheezsohot from the outside as she always closes into the money late and C Ville Kato doesn’t have a superfecta blemish in his last 6 races. (2-4-8-1)
Saturday evening December 3rd, 2016 –
Race 7 – In this evenly matched up race, anyone can win. Let’s go with the post position and Gs Valor on the rail. Up in grade after winning 4 races back, Valor has not missed a beat and loves to run on the inside part of the racetrack. With a strong early rush, he will be close early and coming home late, he will be a difference maker at the wire. Trying to set the pace and wire the field will be the veteran Hilco Spartan. Loads of early speed at his disposal, he will run out of gas late, but still will give a strong front running effort in place. Post also helps Kanes Bubba in this effort. She runs best from the outside and you don’t get wider than the 8 box. She should chase the pace throughout, and everyone better keep an eye behind them as they head to the wire as Rebel Soul will be making a late run to try and upset the field again tonight. (1-6-8-5)
Race 11 – Going for the hat-trick, Flyin Ruth Riley looks the part from here. With a good outside post, she should be a duel for the lead and the win from the get go tonight as Gs Mad Mudder could provide pressure for every step that she takes around the racetrack. Both greyhounds have the talent and ability to get the job done, but Riley has just a bit more left and should outlast the rest to steal away yet another win. Tonight, they might be joined with Nomistakeaboutit too early on in this effort, and everyone better watch the rear-view mirror in the stretch, just in case Easi Charlie wants to show up and run. If he can be in the conversation early enough tonight, he will be a winner at the wire. (8-4-7-3)
Sunday matinee December 4th, 2016 –
Race 11 – Rounding back into form right now O Ya Gunsmoke should be a tough out in this effort, especially from a strong inside post position. With great class over the rest of this field and 4 strong efforts in a row, including a pair of wins, he will find a way to prove best at the wire. Challenging the winner throughout should be the upstart closer Shoot To Thrill. A strong closer, he runs his best when he is close to the early lead, so a strong break will be needed today. Both greyhounds must catch Atascocita Deana if they want to win as she is the best early speeder in this race, but even though he might not be a winning threat, Pat C Seven is a solid steady chaser that will be moving up some in the stretch to secure yet another in the money finish. (3-6-8-4)
