Weekend Stakes at Yonkers Friday and Saturday April 5th and 6th

Bluechip Matchmaker Series

The third leg of the Bluechip Matchmaker Series for Fillies and Mares starts in the 4th race at Yonkers on Friday night with two big morning line favorites, #2 Feeling You at 7-5 and #4 Royal Cee Cee N at 8-5. Either could take this one, but #5 Eighthunrdolarbill is no slouch either. Nor is Doc's Hope. Could be a surprise here.

In race 6, #5 Krispy Apple is 3 for 3 this year, and faces #1a Ginger and Fred (who will be in post position #3) and #1 Ramalama, Ron Burke's dual entries. This promises to be a very competitive race, well worth watching.

#3 Androvette is my choice for race 7, another favorite, but for a very good reason.

In race 9, I'm going to go against the Ron Burke triple entry and hope that #2 Warrawee Kione can repeat for an upset in this one.

Will Foiled Again Be Foiled Again?

One of the biggest upsets in the George Morton Levy Series heats at Yonkers was when Foiled Again was bested by longshot Casimir Jitterbug, piloted by Eric Goodell, who is doing very well in the series with two other wins to his credit. The two will be facing off again tonight in race 9, with Foiled Again getting a favorable position in the 2 post.

The action starts in the 4th race where #1 Atochia, who turned in a lackluster performance last time, is the 8-5 morning line favorite. If he gets his fire back, he'll be a factor. If not, look for his stablemate Stonehouse Adam, #1a but in post position 4, or #2 Second Wind to take the lead.

In race 6, I like #5 Shoobie's Place, a bit of a longshot, but close last time.

In race 7, #1 Something For Doc, is the favorite for a reason. He's aced his first two heats in this series and #6 Classic Rock And Roll, his stiffest competition, will be hard put to close from the 6 post.

And in race 10, Rockin' Cam will be trying for a repeat against a dangerous duo in #4 Versado and #5 Annieswesterncard.

There's nothing better than a weekend with two nights of exciting racing action from Yonkers on Bet America.
