Another versatile filly that can win on any ground.

She was a good second in a blanket finish last out in the New Zealand Oaks (G1) and should have no trouble with the added distance with her stout pedigree. LUCIA VALENTINA is the heavy morning line favorite and she has a devastating kick when she’s on her game. She relished the heavy going two weeks ago when she passed 14 horses in the stretch last out and will flying again. ZANBAGH was a sharp winner two starts back in a group three going a mile then raced evenly last out going ten furlongs. Daughter of BERNARDINI just missed last year at similar distance in the Victorian Oaks (G1) when she raced up near the lead.

The Sydney Cup (G1) is a two-mile handicap for 3YO and up for $1 million. WHO SHOT THEBARMAN is an improving 5YO gelding that is in career form. He won a group two going 1 ½ miles two starts back then came back to win the Auckland Cup (G1) last out in New Zealand going this distance. He picks up seven pounds but loves the distance. HIPPOPUS is a son of HIGH CHAPARRAL that was a good second two starts back going ten furlongs on heavy ground then weakened late last out in a group two. He gets in light with Jim Cassidy riding for Gai Waterhouse. TUPAC AMARU is named after the last Inca King of Peru and rallied strong to miss by a neck last out in a group one stake on heavy ground. TREMEC was a good third two starts back in a group three stakes race going 12 furlongs then was second here last week. He has to overcome post 17 but love anything by ZABEEL going marathon distance.

He was a good second behind the red-hot SILENT ACHIEVER and draws the rail today. SILENT ACHIEVER has been dominating lately with three straight group one wins. She has handled many of these on good and heavy ground and draws well. BOBAN won a group one stake two starts back going a mile then rallied some in the Chipping Norton Stakes (G1) going short. Son of Bernardini is a question mark going ten furlongs but he has plenty of class.
