Aqueduct All-Stakes Pick 3 for November 29

A trio of stakes races highlights a fine Sunday of racing at Aqueduct.

Fillies and mares will dash six furlongs on the outer turf in the opening leg. #9 Lead Guitar (2-1) is 2-for-2 since joining the Weaver barn and shows three wins in succession overall. Maclean’s Music filly sports a strong 9-5-2-1 mark on grass in her career, and she is a must-use.

I also give a chance to the late running #1 Ode to Joy (15-1) and The Very One S. queen #10 A Great Time (6-1) to get things started.

Fall Highweight (G3)

A competitive field of seven will contest the main-track sprint. I don’t see a standout in the race and will spread in the middle leg. The horses that will make the ticket are #2 Drafted (10-1), #3 Majestic Dunhill (2-1), #5 Share the Ride (9-5), and #6 Stan the Man (3-1), with the latter being my top selection.

Juvenile fillies will travel 1 1/16 miles on the green in the affair that closes out the play. I am interested in the dirt-to-turf move from #11 Fifth Risk (10-1) for Todd Pletcher. Dark bay daughter of strong debut turf sire Outwork was a smart winner at first asking on the main oval, and I think that the filly will handle both the added ground and surface change in this spot. The price is right, too.

#2 Lovestruck (7-5) is the other filly that I will include to cap the ticket. Trained by Bill Mott, the Godolphin homebred made a strong late run behind a slow pace to win at first asking at Saratoga, and she has trained well in the interim as well. Tapit filly will be moving best of all late under Junior Alvarado.
