Mid-week racing is again at Sandown so let’s see what we can find and try and get some money in our pockets!

SANDOWN HILLSIDE – AUS A

RACE 1 - EQUIANO - KING OF SPEED HANDICAP 900m $35,000 (AUS)

EVA'S DAY is the only one to have raced and her effort was good in a strong form race. She'll be tough to beat but did like NOT A SINGLE SHOUT from the trials. She was an easy winner at Terang in handy time. SAVAGE COUP looked ok at the jump outs and she had a soft official trial around a month ago. . All of these showed some sort of ability in trials and/or jump-outs. The betting will be a further guide.

SELECTIONS – NOT A SINGLE SHOUT / SAVAGE COUP / EVA’S DAY

RACE 4 - VALE ROY HIGGINS HANDICAP 1000m $35,000 (AUS)

PRINCE STRATUM should be tough to beat in this grade. He's had a soft trial without blinkers on to prepare. Giving CORSTONS BEAU another chance back to 0-70 grade. Happy to forgive his defeat last time when he worked hard to boot up and lead them. THE BRONX strips fitter for his sound return with 60kg. He may be a little under-rated here. There was no fluke about DANGER CLOSE'S win here last time in a similar race. TRICKY GLEN was luckless in the same race. TRUSTAM has a lightweight hope.

SELECTIONS – PRINCE STRATUM / DANGER CLOSE / CORSTONS BEAU

RACE 7 - TVN HANDICAP 1800m $35,000 (AUS)

Up to 1800m Sinhala could make this a genuinely run race. GODSPIEL should be tough to beat. She ran very well in a G3 mares race last time. 1800m on the big track will suit. TAIYOO was given a great ride but he won very well here last time. No knock on him. LATE CHARGE missed the Alistair Clark on Friday night after mucous was detected. He ran a great race in the Australian Guineas. He'll be tough to beat if 100%. Concede HOT POWER, AULD BURNS and MIGHTIEST lesser chances.

SELECTIONS – GODSPIEL / TAIYOO / LATE CHARGE
