Australia Racing Preview for 3/6/2014
Friday racing sees us heading out to Cranbourne to try and build that bank for Saturday at Flemington, so let’s take a quick look and find some winners.
CRANBOURNE – AUS A
RACE 5 - THE CUP CLUB SHOWCASE F&M 0 - 64 HANDICAP 2025m of $30000 (AUS)
This will help PERSINETTE who looks very well suited back to this grade. Connections flew too high last time but she was not disgraced. She was most unlucky prior against the males in this grade. SILK AND DIAMONDS is the danger from her good draw. AFFETTO looks ready to win now after two sound runs back. SPACE DIVA hasn't raced better and can measure up east of Melbourne. STATUTE and ENTIMENTO for MULTIPLES
SELECTIONS – PERSINETTE / AFFETTO / SPACE DIVA
RACE 6 - BROWNS SAWDUST & SHAVINGS CASEY CUP 1600m of $50000 (AUS)
There are many chances but did think CLASSIC CHARM would be hard to beat from his good draw. If he runs a strong 1600m he'll go close and there's nothing to suggest he won't. TOOLEYBUC KID just can't win a race but he never runs poorly and coming back to the mile will suit. DARGIO was as good as CLASSIC CHARM 1st up so he must go in. ONEMAN WOLFPACK looks ready to win another race after two sound runs back. Concede chances to EMERGENCY WARD, TOPKAPI and REBUILD.
SELECTIONS – CLASSIC CHARM / TOOLEYBUC KID /ONEMAN WOLFPACK
RACE 7 - SHEAMUS MILLS BLOODSTOCK 0 - 64 HANDICAP 1400m of $17500 (AUS)
RUPERTON might lead these with ANCIENT ROME crossing outside him. STAR IMPULSE with the blinkers back on and out to 1400m should be hard to beat. If she can run to her effort at Caulfield then she will be. Forgive he last run. Not much changed in that race. ANCIENT ROME looks a promising filly and she won well 1st up. FIRECE COMMAND can do better out to 1400m. HONFLEURS had no luck last time. RUPERTON can give a sight on speed after trialling well. Wasn't sure what to make of DURAN.
