Australia Racing Preview for 3/9/2014

Labour Day holiday in Melbourne will see us treated to some racing at Moonee Valley!

So let’s take advantage of this little treat and see if we cannot make some early week money!

 

MOONEE VALLEY – AUS A

RACE 2 - ESSENDON HYUNDAI SANTA FE PLATE 1200m $35,000 (AUS)

The debutante ROCKY ELMANO won a Caulfield jump-out but he has struck a hot maiden. If GODIVA ROCK has bypassed Cranbourne Friday night where she drew the outside, she's going to be tough to beat here from gate 3. The form around her 1st up placing is very good. For a filly good enough to finish 3rd in a Blue Diamond she needs to be winning. STREETSHAVENONAME is ready to win the right race and well drawn. GOODBYE TOULOUSE made a good debut behind a smart filly 19 weeks ago. He's trialled well. MYWORDSAIDTHEBIRD is fit and drawn for a good run.

RACE 4 - ESSENDON HYUNDAI I30 HANDICAP 1000m $35,000 (AUS)

Handy fillies race but very tough. None of them will shock. STAR BEAUTY has had a soft trial to prepare and she looks drawn for a nice trail off speed 1st up. DUBLE BARREL DAISY jumped out of the ground with blinkers on last start recording fast time. NEW YORK RAIN had a forgetful night at the races last start. Would like to see her ridden off speed. On her best form she can win. QUEEN EXTREME won nicely on debut. PINK JUBILEE had a confidence booster last time. Not a hope it ends there.

RACE 8 - CITY JEEP WRANGLER HANDICAP 1000m $35,000 (AUS)

All set to say GIRL GUIDE was a moral until she drew out wide. She was most impressive on debut defeating the highly regarded Holy Cow. Despite the draw she still has to be first picked. THE BLONDE ALIBI was ok here last time against the pattern. She's a light weight chance. ZARZING did enough here 1st up and has drawn a lot better this time. CURRENT AFFAIR has trialled well for her return. THE BOUNTY QUEEN will be on speed making her own luck. RUBYONE is capable of better.
