Australia Racing Preview for 4/1/2014

Mid-week at Sandown! After a huge weekend of racing just gone and the Golden Slipper coming up this weekend, we are going to need to get some bank! Let’s take a look at few races and see if we can get it happening. Big fields here today but we are confident we have the right choices so let’s go.
SANDOWN HILLSIDE – AUS A
RACE 5 - SLICKPIX HANDICAP 1000m $35,000 (AUS) 3YO FILLIES
Good race but it's very tough given more than half are just resuming their campaigns. Down page, the better chances might be A LITTLEBITOFCLASS (fit, flying and doing everything right), I LOVE IT (resumes, her form is excellent) SENSE OF HITE (resumes, form is good, soft jump-out), COBBLESTONES (resumes, her 2nd to Spirits Dance is good form), WRITE THE CHEQUE (good and luckless 1st up), BEIRUT (resumes,trialled nicely), DECADES (fit and honest), SPRINGALON (resumes, trialled welL) and INTRAVENOUS (nice debut win).
SELECTIONS – ALITTLEBITOFCLASS / SENSE OF HITE / I LOVE IT
RACE 6 - SPORTINGBET BEST TOTE PLUS 5% HANDICAP 1800m $35,000 (AUS)
Another tough race here. WIND BENDER was good 1st up at MV. The form from that race is good and it stacks up into a race like this. HORNETS' NEST can win a race like this if right. No shock to see KEEP THE CASH run well with a senior jock aboard. Back to 1800m might help. D-day for EPIC SAGA. Can make excuses for his past two. Well drawn with a light weight he gets his chance and it’s the last one I’m giving him. No knock on the way TAIYOO is going. Winning horses HERO MASTER and STORMY BILL have claims. Still may have missed.
SELECTIONS – WIND BENDER / TAIYOO / KEEP THE CASH
RACE 7 - SUPERIOR FOOD SERVICES HANDICAP 1400m $35,000 (AUS)
Good race but again, it's another deep one. In race book order the better chances might be I AM TITANIUM (worried he'll miss the start again), TROUBLE IN VEGAS (3 from 4 this prep), CARILLO (terrific on speed here last start in fast time), JADE's BOY (drawn for a nice run), HE'S COMMANDING (very genuine and gives impression 1400m will suit), DUBLE BARREL DAISY (flying), GAMBACCINI (blinkers on, deserves a change of luck), SASENKILE (nice trial), THE SPECIAL TWO (forgive last start and go on 1st up run), LORD DA VINCI (poor draw) and MAGNUS OPUS (promising horse, trialled ok).
