Sandown is going to provide us again with the springboard as we start the bank building on our way to another great weekend of racing, so let’s waste no time and get down to it with a few winners for the mid-week meet.
SANDOWN HILLSIDE – AUS A
RACE 4 - TMB PRINTING HANDICAP 1300m $35,000 (AUS) 3YO+ FILLIES+MARES
Good race. The promising GIRL GUIDE should push forward from 9. Listen for a call on NEW YORK RAIN. She's been over-racing so connections may be keen to see a quieter ride. It's hard to knock GIRL GUIDE. She recorded good time for the day at Mornington and gave every indication that 1300m would suit. NOT A LLAMA is the danger. In my eyes there is not much between the two and I truly think that NOT A LLAMA will test GIRL GUIDE. She's drawn well. PETITE DIABLESSE resumes with blinkers on. She'll be the late finisher if conditions suit.
SELECTIONS – GIRL GUIDE / NOT A LLAMA / NEW YORK RAIN
RACE 5 - MISTABLE HANDICAP 1600m $35,000 (AUS)
Expect BISHOPS CASTLE to lead these comfortably. HUXSSEN may be the one pushing forward outside BISHOPS CASTLE. MISS OUTSHINE might box seat inside. TOOLEYBUC KID has to be the one to beat. He is flying at the moment and it was a good one that beat him home last time. G Boss has had 3 rides on BISHOPS CASTLE for 2 wins. Clearly, he knows how to get the best out of him. He should give a huge sight in front. MISS OUTSHINE was good against the mares 1st up and that is always a nice indication of better to come. CORREGIO had excuses last time. He'll go better over 1600m. BEL RHYTHM and FERRARI STAR have claims.

RACE 7 - POLYTRACK HANDICAP 1600m $35,000 3YO FILLIES (AUS)
Handy race this one. I think there is a lot we need to think about. They include BELLA MOLLIE (most impressive last time, now for 1600m), REZONED (true form last time) KHUTULUN (straight to 1600m is some concern but liked the win and she's an untapped talent), MELALEUCA (if the rain came), SCARLET MORETTA (too close in run last time)SAVANNAH MOON (going well), KAZEMI (1600m on the big track is going to suit) and ALYSIANA (drawn for a good run). And in all honesty as amazing as it would sound, still may have missed the winner.
