Mid-week racing is back on out at Sandown and you may want to be paying attention! The last two write ups here have given you 4 winners in 4 races each day! I am not sure we can do much more than that if you want to be making the most of your greenbacks! 100% STRIKE RATE, CMON!
SANDOWN MIDWEEK – AUS A
RACE 5 - SPICER THOROUGHBREDS HANDICAP 1000m $35,000 (AUS)
GHANA trialled well enough back in Feb in Sydney, betting? This is tough: O'MALLEY (run over by So Does He latest, he then placed in City/Sat grade); SUNDAY ESCAPE (split IL Cavallo and Hill Spy here latest - that almost makes him a definite here!); AMBER WARNING (bolted in on debut, 3rd horse then won, recent jump out was good); CAPRESE (beat all-bar seasoned older horse at latest effort); THIS IS THE SHOW (good fresh last prep in decent race); A SAUCY SNITZEL (ditto - jump outs good); WEST AFRICA (best to forgive that fresh run). A few options here.
SELECTIONS – SUNDAY ESCAPE / O’MALLEY / CAPRESE
RACE 6 - SPORTINGBET BEST TOTE PLUS 5% HANDICAP 1000m $35,000 (AUS)
HARD ROMP did well 1st-up chasing the hot speed and holding off OUR NKWAZI (since run well Adelaide) and CAVALLO NERO (was 1st-up himself) and claims down below limit weight. DRAW FORWARD resumes and is certainly good enough here if he’s in the right frame of mind, his jump outs have looked good to my eye! One heavy track run was sound enough too. LIBERTY ROCK is off a long spell but also good enough here, betting might be the key, so watch it? HOTHAM HEIGHTS jump out was sound behind DRAW FORWARD, he has placed 7 of 7 when fresh-up, but never won one! LEGCUT can improve sharply in my book so beware.

RACE 7 - CARLTON DRAUGHT HANDICAP 1600m $35,000 (AUS)
PROPER MADAM came wide MV 2nd-up against the pattern and kept closing, her run was just inferior to that of Atlantis Dream! That horse would be unbackable here. Can win! NOBLE STAR went super fresh in MOSSMONEY race then forget next run, could be good value here? THEODORA back to 1600m can win if they gain a start. MUMBEILLY was solid last time and form around that race is pretty handy, so don’t write off! BET YOU SHE ROCKS, SPECIAL MISS & REMEMBA HOWE are all horses with hopes in this race too.
