#3 Tempers Rising (2-1 on the morning line) flashed significant talent against tough company during the winter at Fair Grounds, where she finished third in the Silverbulletday S., fourth in the Rachel Alexandra (G2), and second in the Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) on the Road to the Kentucky Oaks.

Although Tempers Rising was disregarded at 46-1 in the Kentucky Oaks (G1), she outran expectations to split the field in fifth, beaten only by Grade 1 winners Shedaresthedevil, Swiss Skydiver, Gamine, and Speech. Tempers Rising prepped for Thursday’s test with a respectable, fifth-place effort in a turf allowance at Keeneland, so a return to dirt should trigger a winning effort.

A heavy win bet on Tempers Rising will be our first order of business, but we’ll also play her on top of #2 Market Rumor (5-2) and #5 Enjoyitwhilewecan (3-1) in the exacta.
