How to bet the 2026 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies

Although a dozen fillies have entered Friday’s $2 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) at Keeneland, #10 Emphatic (9-5) looms as a formidable favorite.
Emphatic exits an impressive Alcibiades (G1) victory over the same track and distance as the Juvenile Fillies. A similar Breeders’ Cup performance should make Emphatic difficult to defeat.
Wagers
- $10 Exacta: 10 with 2
- $4 Trifecta: 10 with 2 with 5,11 ($8)
- $6 Trifecta: 10 with 5,11 with 2 ($12)
Total: $30
After opening her career with decisive wins in a Colonial Downs maiden special weight and the one-mile Sorority S., Emphatic stepped up in class and distance for the 1 1/16-mile Alcibiades. She secured the lead, carved out a modest pace, and then finished strongly (running her final five-sixteenths of a mile in :30.91) to beat Spinaway (G1) winner Summer Starlet by 1 1/4 lengths.
Emphatic reached the finish line in the sharp time of 1:43.40 and earned a promising 97 Brisnet Speed rating. She also earned a 104 Brisnet Late Pace rating, the highest number belonging to any filly in Friday’s field.
Some bettors may worry that Emphatic will face a faster pace in the Juvenile Fillies. But there are reasons to believe she’ll handle a quicker tempo without difficulty. She isn’t a need-the-lead type; in the Sorority, she closed from fourth place, two lengths off the early lead. If a fast pace unfolds in the Juvenile Fillies, Emphatic can settle behind the leaders before using her strong finishing speed to take command in the homestretch.
We recommend keying Emphatic on top of exacta and trifecta wagers, emphasizing #2 Domain Expansion (6-1) underneath. Domain Expansion ran into traffic trouble when finishing second in her debut on turf. Then she switched to dirt and obliterated the 1 1/16-mile Oak Leaf (G2) at Santa Anita by seven lengths, earning a 99 Brisnet Speed rating. Domain Expansion made a great visual impression and looks like a promising filly.
We’ll round out our tickets with #5 Miss Monica (5-2) and #11 Voyager (12-1).
Miss Monica boasts a 2-for-2 record and is stretching out in distance off a 6 1/4-length triumph in the seven-furlong Del Mar Debutante (G1). Voyager won the one-mile Natalma (G1) on turf, but has also shown ability sprinting on dirt. Running long on dirt may suit the daughter of Justify just fine.
Good luck!
