Casse tries for another sweep of Summer, Natalma at Woodbine

Trainer Mark Casse swept the Summer (G2) and Natalma (G2), Woodbine's automatic qualifiers for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (G1) and Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1), last season with Conquest Typhoon and Conquest Curlinate. He will be involved in both races again Saturday when the one-mile tests are renewed, each with a purse of C$200,000.
Conquest Typhoon was a maiden when he captured the 2014 Summer for Casse and owner Conquest Stables, and the connections have both the maiden Conquest Enforcer and Conquest Daddyo in the lineup. Conquest Enforcer is actually a first-time starter by Into Mischief and cost $210,000 at auction last July, but has worked smartly over the local turf and Polytrack.
Conquest Daddyo makes his turf debut here following a debut score over six furlongs and a second in the $150,000 Vandal for Ontario-breds.
Hammers Vision won on debut over subsequent maiden scorer Manhattan Dan at Belmont going three-quarters on the grass, and followed up with a third in the Saratoga Special (G2). By Breeders' Cup Mile (G1) and Woodbine Mile (G1) scorer Court Vision, he adds Lasix for this race.
Hollywood Hideaway was elevated to first in his debut, the C$132,000 Victoria on the grass, and should be part of the pace with Manhattan Dan. Another with early gas is The Zip Zip Man, recently second in the C$125,000 Colin on the main track.
Others who might factor are Sky Marshal, winner of the seven-furlong Summer allowance prep on August 26, and Gigantic Breeze and Bear'sway, one-two in an off-the-turf maiden August 21.
Casse has just one, Catch a Glimpse, in the Natalma. A well-beaten fifth in her debut at Saratoga, she rebounded to break her maiden in the Natalma allowance prep on August 22 after setting a moderate pace.
Likely to be winging on the front end is She'll Do It, who romped by more than four lengths in her debut on Polytrack last month. She's a daughter of noted turf performer Badge of Silver.
Caren is three-for-three with two stakes wins, but tries the turf and steps out of restricted company for the first time here. Last-out maiden winners Most Inspiring, Gamble's Ghost, and Silky Girl appear competitive, as does Natalma prep runner-up Pulled the Goalie.
Know Clouds won at first asking in slow time over the Tapeta at Presque Isle Downs, but the Graham Motion charge is kin to several graded-quality turf performers and might surprise on the surface switch.
