Greyhound Preview Palm Beach 11/26/2014

Ethel Is Here

Not only does Palm Beach give us a doubleheader for racing the day before Thanksgiving, the Matinee is packed full of the best greyhound racers this track has to offer. Storm Control, Ethel Is Here and Nikita’s First all running this afternoon is an unbeatable day of racing at the highest handling track in the country. Any one of these racers have an argument that they are the best racer here.

Here are the top races I will be following for the Matinee at “The Beach.”

 

 

 

KSs Like A Fox

Race 4 Grade TA 301 Yards

Looking into this race, obviously you immediately look at season wins leader #8 Nikita’s First from the Janie Carroll Kennel. 14 wins on the season and is the class of the super sprinters right now without a doubt. The problem with this setup is that Nikita has lost 7 straight starts from the outside 8 hole. That’s when I look for an upset.

Last years Track Champion #5 KB’s Like A Fox from Rader Racing is a possibility. 37 time winner last season is still trying to find his footing and may not be ready for a W yet.

I’m going with #4 Aye Doctor Ron. Has won three of his last five starts and is sitting in a great spot mid track. Possible good price coming as well.

Storm Control

Race 14 Grade A 545 Yards

The hottest racer in South FLA without question is #6 Storm Control from owner Steve Schlachter. The spring Puppy Stakes Champ will go for a ridiculous 90% season winning percentage if he can score the W today. Is the leading candidate to represent Palm Beach at the National Championship in January. Lethal lid flipper who is almost impossible to catch on the lead.

Many great board hitters will make this very interesting here. #2 Hustle It Up from the Janie Carroll Kennel looks to have the best chance at an upset. Has won 4 of 6 starts and must be put on any exotic plays you have as she is rocking  a 86% board hitting rate this season.

Look out also for #7 AMF Pushover, who has the best close of this crew and could be in position to steal if there is any trouble with the front runners.

Storm Control looks much too strong to go against for the win in this one.

Track Announcer Ramon Cadavieco With Ethel Is Here

Race 15 Grade TA 660 Yards

All eyes will be on track record holder #3 Ethel Is Here from owner Jerry Simons  in the Matinee finale.

Is the best middle distance racer here and it’s not even close right now. Has posted the top 3 times on the “Rhonda” course this season, including the record breaking 37.28 secs zinger earlier this month.

Any upset at all probably comes from #5 HS Bobaruskee from top Kennel Rader Racing. Is the only one to beat Ethel this month and possesses a rush that could complicate things early.

Ethel is a beast. It will be very difficult for me to pick against her here…or any other time this season.
