Greyhound Preview Palm Beach For 10/8/2014
Another great card on tap for the Wednesday racing at Palm Beach. One of the best on the 3/8ths mile Flying Fala will go for back to back wins in the finale 15th along with “Super Sister” JS Froot Loops looking to get back into the winner’s circle in the 14th.
Here are the top races I will be following for the Matinee at “The Beach.”Race 12 Grade B 545 Yards
The Grade A hound dropping down that will be the clear favorite in this one is #1 Racin Razzi from B & B Racing. Gets the 1 box to fire from, which she bolted a 29.66 secs win on 9/15. Is a 79% board hitter this season and has an absolute lethal close.
Best shot for an upset comes from the other top grader dropping to the JV class in #7 Gabby Gold from The Royal Racing Team. Was competitive against the best at the track earlier in the month and has gone 29.62 secs this season.
Hard to go against Razzi here for a going away victory.
Picks 1-7-3-8
Race 14 Grade A 545 Yards
Two of the fastest greyhounds this season match up in this race, which should be a dandy to watch and play.
JS SpeedyPebbles’ sister JS Froot Loops (29.40 secs) from owner Shannon Henry and Jim Brown (29.38 secs) have two of the fastest times on the season and both have prime boxes to fire out of this afternoon. Froot Loops has one of the top closes at Palm Beach while “Touchdown” Jim Brown has shown occasional brilliance with 8 wins on the season.
Hot shot rookie #8 AMF Drumbeat from B & B Racing surprised all players on 9/24 by winning a loaded race at 30-1 odds. Has won 2 of 3 and gets the prime 8 box to try and stay in great form.
I’m believe Jim Brown is due and gets his 9th win on the season at possibly a good price.
Picks 7-8-1-6
Race 15 Grade TA 660 Yards
In the ever changing landscape that is the 3/8ths mile here, the new top dog is #1 Flying Fala from owner Vince Berland. Is currently ranked #7 in my Top 10 rankings here at Palm Beach. Gets the best box at this distance to fire from, where she just bolted a 37.87 secs victory last time out.
Fala will face a serious challenge from #2 Budz Lava Girl from the Douglas Kennel. Has the best break of any middle distance racer here and could put Fala in a bad spot early.
Watch out for #3 Ethel Is Here, who surprised the Grade A field last time out by getting a 37.81 secs going away victory. It will be interesting to see if she can do a repeat performance against this top field.
All inside boxes for my super play today, with new star Flying Fala taking the W.
Picks 1-3-2-4
Top Pick Race 5- #5 Oaks Charlie O
