Greyhound Preview: Palm Beach for 3/29/2014

Superstar Saturday kicks into high gear with the Saturday Matinee at the Palm Beach Kennel Club. Here are the top races I will be following:
Race 3 Class C 545 Yards
The up and comer to watch in this one is #5 Tebucky Jones. The latest Patriots namesake from owner Steve Sarras got jammed up last race, but make no mistake thinking this dog is over hyped. Should bolt from the box and take this one without a doubt. Going for 3 wins in his first 5 races.
Picks: 5 - 8 - 6 - 3
Race 10 Class TD 660 Yards
If you want to watch one of the best closes you will see at this track, keep your eyes on the #1 Diorite. Does not break out of the box at all, but on the backstretch really gets the wheels turning. Going for season win #10 for the Ryan Racing veteran. The rest of this field has a combined 12 wins total between them. Go with the 1.

Race 12 Class A 545 Yards
The race of the day here features the newest superstar to this track with the #3 Juggernaut from owner Steve Schlacter and B & B Racing. Has won 6 of his first 10 races and in impressive style. Last race blazed a 29.50 sec win. Only thing that may hold him up is #4 KB’s Royal Roy, who has an outstanding rush out of the box. The veteran #5 CrazyZack should also be in the hunt as well. Zack has hit the ticket 9 of 11 races (82%) this season. The Juggernaut rolls on for the win.

Race 14 Class A 545 Yards
The hottest racer at Palm Beach in my opinion is #8 Pat C Dark Ciena. Going for her 5th win in 6 races in this top “A” class. Has the rare combination of a rush to crush and a dynamic close. Now gets the best box in the 545 to fire out of. #5 Dewzee must be put in your play, as he has been in the top 3 in all 13 races of his races this season. Dark Ciena keeps her streak going for the win and stays hot.

Race 15 Class TA 660 Yards
Very competitive 3/8ths mile race to end the card. #3 CBJ Largo should take the lead to pace the opening pack but has never won in this class, at this distance. #1 Killer Sunshine has a nice close and should reel in the early speedster at the wire. #5 Klawdia is the longshot to look out for with the best kick at the end of this bunch, going for 3 straight.
