Greyhound Preview: Palm Beach for 6/27/2014

Time to get the weekend started. Fabulous Friday is here and Palm Beach gives us a card loaded with greyhound superstars. Two of the biggest winners this season Atascocita Golda and JS SpeedyPebbles go today, along with the best middle distance racer here Flying The Who in the finale.
Here are the top races I will be following for the Matinee at “The Beach.”
Race 6 Grade A 545 Yards
It has been a pleasure to watch #2 Atascocita Golda from Suncoast Racing compete this season. Going for season win #29 today, she has muscled her way to third place for wins this season at the track. With that prolific rush out of the box, she should again take the lead in this one. Anybody that can catch her?
Golda will see a challenge from #8 Budz Flame, who just bolted a 29.69 secs W last time out and has won three of her last four starts. #6 Ninis Chipotle from owner Laura Brady has been in the Trifecta the last 6 races and is a must on any Exotic plays here.
Golda ends her season in style doing what she does best….win.

Race 14 Grade A 545 Yards
The race of the day without a doubt.
This looks like an All-Star race with how much talent is lining up here.
#7 JS SpeedyPebbles goes for season win #30 today. One of the best lady racers at “The Beach” has accomplished so much this year. Winning a record 8 straight to start her career, plus completing the Grade Ladder. Quite a season for Pebbles indeed!
Hot rookie #2 Fly Derek Jeter from Steve Gilster’s Kennel has 5 wins in just 9 starts but looks to be overmatched here. I like him for a back of the ticket hit, but a win would shock me.
You also have the Father’s Day Champ #5 Tebucky Jones running, which would setup an interesting storyline if he is near the front with Mother’s Day Champ SpeedyPebbles at the wire.
Pebbles gets it done today and ends a fantastic season for one of the best racers here.

All eyes will be on #1 Flying The Who from the Royal Racing Team.
