Indiana Sires Stakes action at Hoosier delivered two winners: Shirley Goodness ($8.20, $2.80, $2.10) and Swingforthefences ($4.00, $3.20; $2.10). Also, in order of returns:

International Stallion Stakes at The Red Mile also resulted in a pair of winners: World At War Deo ($10.00, $6.60, $5.60) and Temporal Hanover ($8.80, $5.80, $2.10). Also, in order of returns:

NEWS & NOTES

Andover Hall has been retired from stud duty. A foal of 1999, Andover Hall took his record of 1:51.3 at three and earned $870,510. A freak paddock accident caused Andover Hall to be scratched from the Breeders Crown, and he never raced again. He stood his first season in 2003 and sired Hambletonian winner Donato Hanover in his first crop. Also among his credits are top winners Nuncio and Creatine, and he appears as the broodmare sire of When Dovescry.

Manchego, a world record holder, has been retired from racing. The six-year-old trotting mare heads to Kentuckiana Farms for her career as a broodmare. A daughter of Muscle Hill, Manchego won 39 of 65 races and earned more than $3.2 million—fourth in history among female trotters behind Moni Maker, Peace Corps, and Bee A Magician, respectively. She is the fastest female trotter in history, with a mark of 1:49. She is the only trotter in history to win with a sub-1:50 mile in three different years—2019, 2020 and 2021.
