Harrington Raceway Kicks Off Spring Meet on Monday
Overcast conditions that enveloped much of the Mid-Atlantic region on Monday afternoon and well into the evening could hardly dampen the enthusiasm surrounding the opening night of the Harrington Raceway spring meet as the Delaware half-mile oval presented a 10-race card that included a bevy of sharp scores.
In the opening race on the program, longshot Big Bucks Bo overcame post seven and rallied second over to score in 1:57 in a non-winners of five races lifetime class for owner-trainer-driver Alton [Toby] Lynch, Jr. for his second win in 13 starts this year. Then one race later Classiesistar (Tony Morgan) lived up to his role as th3 3-10 favorite in a non-winners of $5500 last five starts conditioned event when he brushed to command down the backside and held sway for a length score in 1:54.3 for his second straight tally for trainer Tim Crissman.

Then right at the midway point of the card, Poisonous (Ross Wolfenden) lived up to his billing as the 4-5 favorite in the $16,000 Open Handicap when he overcame his assigned post seven and a first over journey to score by two lengths in 1:52. Owned and trained by Josh Green, Poisonous now owns a 4-4-3 slate and $72,000 bankroll from 15 starts this year and a 9-14-6 slate and $155,000 earned from 45 career tries.
One race later another Green trainee, Gerard N Mo (Allan Davis) easily overcame post eight and led throughout to capture a non-winners of four races lifetime class in 1:57 to remain unbeaten in four career tries. Two races later it was Remember Me VK (Montrell Teague) who handled non-winners of $10,000 last five starts conditioned foes as the 7-10 choice when he led throughout in 1:52.3 for trainer Robert Wyatt for his fourth win in 14 starts this year, then one race later Wyatt was back in the winners circle after All Music romped home seven lengths clear as the 6-5 choice in 1:55.2 for his first win in 11 starts this year.
