November 16th, 2020

Expert plays from handicapper Tim Holland today include Parx Racing, Indiana Grand and Mountaineer.

Parx Racing

Race 4

Trainer Preciado wins with 21% of his first-time starters and saddles #4 Club Wagon (9-2), a debuting daughter of decent win-early sire Hey Chub who is out of a mare by 14% debut sire Lion Heart. Filly is a half-sister to one winner and has been working forwardly for Preciado, who has won with 27% of his runners at this meet. Bay appears ready for a good first outing with Torres riding.

Race 9

Plenty of early speed should help chances of #9 Thundershook (5-2), who finished well when second over one mile at Laurel in his latest last month. Gelding has won three of five previous starts at this distance and trainer Ness wins with 20% of his runners going from a route to a sprint. Son of Super Saver has a record of 11-5-2-2 on this oval and can be along late under Silvera, who has won with 37% of his rides for the barn in the past two months.

Indiana Grand

Race 8

Maidens going one mile include #3 Destinique (6-1), who comes off a fourth-place finish in an even effort over 5 1/2 furlongs in her debut here in late September. Daughter of Munnings is a half-sister to one winner and trainer Cox wins with 28% of his second-time starters. Dark bay can be in good early position with De La Cruz in the irons.

Mountaineer

Race 1

Newcomer #7 Kiltoom (5-1) has an excellent win-early pedigree being by Kantharos and out of a mare by Speightstown. Gelding is a half-brother to one winner and recent works include a 4-furlong move in :48 1/5 for trainer Chapman, who has won with 37% of his runners at this meet. Chestnut can win at first asking under Gonzalez, who has won with two of his last six rides for the barn.
