How to bet the Bay Ridge Stakes

A small field of six of fillies and mares will contest the 9-furlong, $100,000 Bay Ridge S. at Aqueduct.
Bay Ridge Analysis
There is a lack of a confirmed front runner in the affair, with the Mark Hennig duo of #4 Kilkea and #5 Singular Sensation most likely challenging for the early edge. I expect the entire field to be within a few lengths of each other throughout the competitive event.
Bay Ridge Contenders
#1 LUCKY MOVE -- Multiple stakes heroine comes off a very sharp tally at Belmont Park most recently for Guerrero. Lookin at Lucky 6-year-old was second by a nose in the race in 2019, and her best performance gives her a big chance from slightly off the pace under Carmouche.
#2 FIRENZE FREEDOM -- Longshot takes a big class rise following a score over first-level allowance foes in her latest venture. Breen pupil has placed in both local assignments to date, but she would be a surprise with Lezcano riding.
#3 SKY KITTEN -- Sky Mesa filly was claimed for $14,000 two prior, and she followed with an unplaced showing on the green last time out. Dark bay looks to be in a tough spot on Sunday.
#4 KILKEA -- Interesting sort moves back to the main surface following five turf runs in succession. Blame filly has fine form with six straight top-two finishes. And with her early foot, she rates a big chance if she appreciates the return to the dirt. Eric Cancel inherits the mount.
#5 SINGULAR SENSATION -- Obvious contender has steadily progressed in 2020 for Hennig. Lightly raced daughter of Mineshaft was a smart runner-up in a local prep for this affair when going a mile, and improvement is expected on the stretch out in the Bay Ridge. Manny Franco will have the 4-year-old forwardly placed from the break.
#6 MRS. ORB -- Potential one to beat has run second in four straight races in advance of Sunday, including a fine runner-up showing in the Turnback the Alarm (G3) most recently. Orb 5-year-old is the defending champion of the race, and the outside draw will be beneficial to her, as well. Dylan Davis takes the reins.
