Identifying a single for Breeders’ Cup multi-race bets

Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup program at Keeneland will feature large and competitive fields, which makes multi-race wagers appealing, and I will be playing Pick 3s, Pick 4s, and Pick 5s.
Bettors can leverage their strongest opinion by singling a horse in any sequence, and I am excited to build tickets around Monomoy Girl in the Distaff (G1).
Monomoy Girl was named 3-year-old filly champion following her victory in the 2018 Distaff at Churchill Downs, but missed the entire 2019 campaign. She faced an uphill challenge to even make it back to the races at age 5, and trainer Brad Cox eased her back into competition, opting for an allowance race at Churchill in mid-May.

After being a front-running dynamo at age 3, Monomoy Girl displayed a new dimension by rating kindly in her return. The powerful chestnut rallied quickly to the lead when given her cue by Florent Geroux, drawing away to 2 3/4-length decision. The race didn’t come back fast (92 Brisnet Speed rating), but served its purpose.
Monomoy Girl moved forward in the Ruffian (G2) at Belmont Park two months later, generating a 111 Speed figure while easily defeating Vexatious, and she was flattered when that rival came back to defeat Midnight Bisou in the Personal Ensign (G1) next time out.
In her final tune-up, the Sept. 4 La Troienne (G1) at Churchill, Monomoy Girl took the overland route to avoid trouble and recorded another impressive win. Everything has gone to plan so far for connections, and the Tapizar mare showed an affinity for Keeneland’s main track when romping in the 2018 Ashland (G1).
The morning line favorite appears to be sitting on a peak performance, and fresh horses have performed well in the Distaff. Florent Geroux will have options from a favorable outside draw, as well.
Monomoy Girl will be my single in Breeders’ Cup multi-race bets.
