Ted Noffey, Into Mischief loom large in KDFW Pool 2 and Sire Future Wager

The father-and-son team of Into Mischief and unbeaten Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) star Ted Noffey figure to attract plenty of support in their respective Future Wager pools that run concurrently over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Ted Noffey has been installed as the 6-1 individual favorite on the morning line for Pool 2 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager, with the mutuel field of “All Others” the overall choice at 9-5.
Perennial leading sire Into Mischief, responsible for a record-tying three Kentucky Derby (G1) winners, ranks as the overall morning-line favorite at 4-1 in the lone Sire Future Wager.
Both Pool 2 and the Kentucky Derby Sire Future Wager open at noon (ET) on Thursday and close at 6 p.m. Sunday evening.

While Ted Noffey is the leading candidate to give his sire a record fourth Derby hero, Into Mischief has a total of seven individual interests in Pool 2. The others are Bowman Mill S. scorer Gallivant, who is entered in Saturday’s Ed Brown S. at Churchill Downs; recent maiden winners Commandment, Into the Beast, Provenance, and Rebel Instinct; and Renegade, who was first-past-the-post before being demoted to second.
The next most prolific stallion in the field is Gun Runner, sire of five Pool 2 contenders. His quintet includes Del Mar Futurity (G1) winner Brant, third to Ted Noffey in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, and two scheduled to run in Saturday’s Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) on the Road to the Kentucky Derby – 20-length maiden crusher Further Ado and Iroquois (G3) victor Spice Runner.
