Dazzling Dame and Bottle of Rouge have both made their impact on the Road to the Kentucky Oaks.
Dazzling Dame, trained by Brittany Russell, entered the winner circle in the Busanda Stakes at Aqueduct, and gained second in the Virginia Oaks against Bottle of Rouge.
Bob Baffert trainee Bottle of Rouge forced her way into contention with a pair of wins in the Sunland Park Oaks and then later in the Virginia Oaks. This daughter of Vino Rosso could pose a threat for the first Friday in May.
Search Party and Pashmina have both struggled to get first along the Road to the Derby with only one first place win out of multiple.
Search Party, conditioned by Mark Casse, has climbed the rankings with a fourth and second place with only one entrance into the winners circle in the Martha Washington in early February. As a daughter of Gun Runner, she has the potential to rise above with a decent placement.
Vying for the same piece of the leaderboard is the Rob Atras-trained Pashmina, who has been steadily climbing the ranks with no appearances in the winners circle yet. Could she earn her first win during Derby and Oaks season at the finale on that first Friday in May?

The Bob Baffert-trained Explora has ascended the leaderboard through a series of performances, including an early win in the Oaks Leaf S. and her most recent success in the Honeybee. The daughter of Blame will make a formidable contender in the Oaks.
Next up is Todd Pletcher trainee Zany, who punched her ticket with a score in both the Demoiselle and the Sunland Park Oaks. This daughter of Triple Crown American Pharoah will be one to watch.
Prom Queen and Always a Runner have displayed the grit necessary to compete on the first Friday in May.
Trained by Brad Cox, Prom Queen enters the conversation with a polished resume following a victory in the Gulfstream Park Oaks. As a daughter of Quality Road, she embodies the pedigree and poise required for the Oaks distance.
Representing the Chad Brown barn, Always a Runner forced her way into the top rankings with a breakout performance in the Gazelle S. (G3). True to her name, she is high-energy. Her history suggests she can handle the pressure of a crowded Churchill Downs field.
