Meadowlands Hosts Four TVG Finals on Saturday
Two weeks after hosting all 12 Breeders Crown finals, the Meadowlands will present a quartet of lucrative TVG Finals for trotters and pacers.
In the fourth race on the Saturday night card a solid field of seven distaffers will clash in the $200,000 final for trotting fillies and mares. But on paper the event appears to be a match race between Hannelore Hanover and Bee A Magician.
Hannelore Hanover (Yannick Gingras) has won 16 of 19 starts and banked over $1 million this year for trainer Ron Burke, including a two-length score in the Breeders Crown final. Bee A Magician (Brian Sears) has won four of five starts in a limited campaign this year for trainer Nifty Norman as second to Hannelore Hanover in the Breeders Crown final. The 2013 harness horse of the year will seek revenge on Saturday night.

his career. Always B Miki has won 11 of 17 starts this year for trainer Jimmy Takter, including an astonishing 1:46 score at Lexington to become the fastest horse in the history of the sport.
Always B Miki is the early favorite to garner division honors and horse of the year, while his main competition for both titles, reigning horse of the year Wiggle It Jiggleit, was sidelined earlier in the week with a foot bruise. Always B Miki has won 29 of 52 career outings and over $2.5 million along the way and tomorrow he will look to put the finishing touches on his campaign and career.
Looking to upend Always B Miki on Saturday night are Free-For-All mainstays Mach It So (Tim Tetrick) and Shamballa (Scott Zeron) and All Bets Off (Matt Kakaley) and Open regulars Take It Back Terry, Melmerby Beach and Dealt A Winner. Mach It So and Shamballa are also expected to arrive at Rosecroft for the Nov. 22 Free State Free-For-All.
Two races later in $200,000 TVG Final for older pacing mares, much of the focus will be on Lady Shadow (Gingras) who has won 11 of 17 starts this year and banked over $750,000, including the Breeders Crown final. Lady Shadow has already clinched divisional honors and the title of Maryland-bred harness horse of the year.
Then two races later in the $400,000 TVG final for older trotters, pending division champ Resolve will look to make his case for trotter of the yea in a stellar field that also includes Obrigado, Centurion ATM, JL Cruze and Bar Hopping, recent winner of the Breeders Crown final for three-year-old colt trotters for Takter.
