More Ways To Win SHOWdown: $2,000 in social media contest prizes

As if a chance at $1-million weren’t exciting enough, TwinSpires.com is offering racing fans even more ways to win with its SHOWdown promotion just by interacting with us during Kentucky Derby prep races.

TwinSpires.com will offer separate Twitter and Facebook contests correlating with the TwinSpires.com SHOWdown and Kentucky Derby prep races. Each contest will have weekly and season-long components to keep fans engaged.

TWITTER:

Using the hashtag #TSshowdown select a horse in each of the showdown races to finish third or better.

Grand prize: The Twitter user who lasts longest (picks the most horses to show consecutively from the beginning) will win $500

Season-long prize: The Twitter user who selects the most horses to who will win $100

By race prize: After each weekend we will randomly select one Twitter user who correctly picked a horse to show (for each race) to win a $20 wagering credit (you must be a TwinSpires.com member to claim the credit, but the prizes above are available to anyone).

FACEBOOK:

Each week, the TwinSpires.com Facebook page will post a note about each of the upcoming SHOWdown races. Leave a comment with your pick to finish third or better and you could win a weekly or year-end prizes.

Grand prize: The Facebook user who correctly selects the most show horses through the Kentucky Derby will win an iPad.

Weekly prizes: Each week we’ll enter all the names who correctly picked a horse to show in a drawing for $50 cash or a $100 wagering credit if you have a TwinSpires.com account.

FRIENDLY RIVALRY

To make things “interesting” between Churchill Downs Interactive and Churchill Downs Race Track, the TwinSpires.com team will battle those who work underneath the TwinSpires in a season-long battle to determine show supremacy. The person who lasts longest among the participants will earn $500 for a charity of his/her choice courtesy of the losing team, and the team that accumulates the most correct show selections during the contest will earn $500 for a charity of its choice courtesy the losing team.
