We are down to the Sweet 16 in the $50,000 James W. Paul 3/8ths Mile Derby! Many storylines headline the racing action on Superstar Sunday, including will record breaker Ethel is Here make the Final? Can Nothin ForNothin stay undefeated? The top 8 point finishers from the first four rounds advance to the Final next Saturday, February 21^st. Time to settle it on the track.

The race of the Tournament without a doubt.

#6 Ethel Is Here from the Janie Carroll Kennel was my original pick to win this Tournament. Started off the tourney with a come from behind win but has seen her race times rise in each start since. Will today be a breakout race for her?

#5 Jj’s Tango from Rader Racing has been most impressive the last two starts. Two straight W’s, with a scorching 37.54 secs going away victory last time out has the hot puppy’s owners and Kennel dreaming big.

I’m going with #1 PJ Timeless from Rader Racing. The multiple Stakes Finalist and the only returning racer from last years Derby, is setup perfectly on the rail and should sail to victory lane this afternoon. Has won 2 of her previous 3 starts from the pole position at this distance.

Race 14

All eyes of the greyhound watchers will be following #2 Nothin ForNothin from Rader Racing. The only undefeated greyhound left in the Derby, he is looked puppy prolific, scorching three straight wins, all under 38 seconds. Is looking to give his top Kennel their first Stakes title of the season.

Possible upset could come from kennel mate #4 Fire Down Below. One of the best rushers in the Tournament and has been right in the hunt in all three starts, with one win.

#7 Bozica from Ryan Racing must be in any Exotic plays in this one, as she has finished in the money in 8 straight starts.

Nothin ForNothin continues to succeed in Derby Qualifying with another victory here.
