Welcome to the second half of the season at Palm Beach!  With 6 months to go until the finale on June 30th, the main superstars remain the same but a few young puppies have emerged that want a piece of the limelight as well.

Here's our Top 10 Rankings for December at "The Beach."

#1 Fraulein Morgan  ~ Middle Distance  ~ Janie Carroll Kennel

The "Fabulous" one grabs her third straight top ranking as the clear top hound in sunny South Florida.  Continues to lead the track championship chase by a mile and owns the fastest 660 yard split this year.  28/28 in the money and hasn't lost two in a row since July.  That's greatness.

#2 Superior Tyson  ~ Sprinter  ~ B & B Racing

~ 13 wins on the season, 29.21 secs best ever time

The pride of Catskill, New York continues to knockout the the competition with regularity. "Kid Dynamite" had a seven race winning streak during the holidays and will be one of your favorites when next weeks $50K He's My Man Classic begins. Watch out for his upper cut.

#3 Barts Big Bang  ~ Sprinter  ~ Douglas Kennel

"Math, science, history, unraveling the mystery, that all started with the big bang!"

The hottest sprinter on the block, Big Bang has now won seven of his last eight starts and is the most dynamite closer this place has seen in a while.  Looks like he is running on clouds with how effortless his stride looks.

#4 Ethel Is Here  ~ Middle Distance  ~ Janie Carroll Kennel

The "Blue Bombshell" continues to add to her legacy each and every time she starts.  63 career wins at Palm Beach, a track record and two championships.  Ethel is just amazing.  The most popular athlete here right now without question.

#5 Cbj Tootsie Roll ~ Sprinter  ~ Royal Racing

~14 wins on the season, 29.45 secs best ever time

She may have the sweet name but she is anything but when it's gameday.

The most old school style racer currently at Palm Beach, "Tootsie" has no problem going toe to toe with any greyhound in her way.  Fantastic rush and can provide a solid close when needed. She'll also tell you how good she is after she wins. Love the attitude!

#6 AllAboutTheFame  ~ Sprinter  ~ Janie Carroll Kennel

~ 7 wins on the season, 29.46 secs best ever time

Your newest champion at Palm Beach. "Fame" won the 2016 Dick Andrews Futurity in the second fastest split of all time in the Final.  Owner Monte Jacobs becomes the first owner in the history of these rankings to have three greyhounds in the Top 10 at the same time (Morgan, Ethel & Fame).

#7 Janice Dean  ~ Sprinter/Middle Distance  ~ Brindle Kennel

~ 10 wins on the season, 29.46 secs (Sprint), 37.57 secs (Middle Distance) best ever times

"The Weather Machine" has thrown her name into the ring as a contender for next months 50K Derby.  Dean named after the Fox News weather anchor had her biggest win of the season on New Years Eve, defeating Ethel Is Here in only her second career start in the 660.

#8 Bf Par Snipe  ~ Super Sprinter  ~ Agganis Kennel

~7 wins on the season, 16.44 secs best ever time

Simply known as the dog that flys.  Snipe is back in her comfort zone on the Kb's Like A Fox Super Sprint Course and has the ability to rip off sizzling splits for trainer Bob Dawson every time she starts. Can "The Sniper" stay consistent will be the biggest question heading through the winter season.

#9 Whirlin Toodlelu ~ Sprinter  ~ Douglas Kennel

~ 14 wins on the season, 29.41 secs best ever time

Ms. "Toodles" cooled off a bit in December, only winning once but is still second in victories with a host of other greyhounds on the season.  Is a must watch racer simply for the spectacular finishes she has displayed in her career.

#10 JS Outlaw Legend  ~ Sprinter  ~ Koppe, Staats & Collins Kennel

~ 9 wins on the season, 29.31 secs best ever time

The "Kansas Kid" from owner Shannon Henry made a name for himself in the Futurity tournament going undefeated all the way up to the Final.  Won't turn 2 years old until March, which means there are many great days ahead for this potential star and his team.
