We'll start with the 4 NABOOTIQUE. The baby of this group of horses, with just 7 career starts. He has placed in 4 of those winning 2. His last start on the dead surface, he finished 2nd. He stalked the winner the whole way but was simply out sprinted. Followed up that race with a win on the good 3 surface. Steps up in class.

Next I want to look at the the 5 BONA FIDES. In contrast to the 4 horse, he is the veteran of the bunch. With trainer Stuart Webb and jockey Jack Hill, don't be surprised if this horse doesn't win. He won his last start out in a large field at the 7f distance and dead 4 track.

My top selection is the 1 ONYA KEITHY. As the top weight in this field, he shouldn't have any problems here. He has faced a lot tougher horses than any other horse in this field by far. Last start on Feb.9th he was a hard fought winner at the benchmark 70. Out of five career starts on the dead surface, he has won 4 of those.

The long shot pick goes to the 6 LUCARIO with 15 of his 24 career starts being on the dead surface placing 6 times while winning 4. Add top jockey Dean Yendall and this one is for sure worth a few bucks. And you just might land on a very nice price.
