Superstars are showing up for a premiere hump day Matinee this afternoon in South Florida. The Puppy Stakes 3rd Round Tournament starts in Race 8, with many of the top youngsters in the country squaring off, along with the best super sprinter of all time Kb’s Like A Fox lacing them up in Race 4.Here are the top races I will be following for the Wednesday racing at “The Beach.”
*Java Beretta*
Race 2 Grade A 545 Yards
One of the hottest dogs at the Track #1 Java Beretta from the Champions Racing Team gets the call early in this Card. Has looked fabulous in the last four races and will look for his 5th straight W out of the hot 1 box here. Should get your bankroll started early with a nice win from Beretta here.

Race 4 Grade TA 301 Yards
Fans of Palm Beach will be on record breaking watch all season as we see if #6 Kb’s Like A Fox from Rader Racing can break the all time career wins record here. Fox is currently at 68 wins, 17 short of the great Pat C Rendezvous record of 85. Fox in the last two seasons has won 37 in 2013 and 27 last season. All he would need is 21 this season to break it. Can it happen?
Fox gets the 6 hole this afternoon against a field that only has four “A” Graders in it. #7 Kaias Red Brave has hit the ticket in 91% of her races this year and could pull this upset this afternoon. #3 Amf Bombs AComin from hot Kennel B & B Racing looks for 3 straight W’s.
Hard to go against the two time champ in any race he’s in. Fox gets career win #69 today and continues the record breaking watch into his next start.
Picks 6-7-3-5
Heading into the 3rd Round of the Puppy Stakes, not one greyhound was able to stay undefeated. That’s how wide open this thing is. After this round of racing, the field will be cut to 16 for next Monday’s Semi-Finals. Today is crucial for all greyhounds to secure as many points as they can.
*BF Par Snipe*
Race 12 Grade SA 545 Yards (Puppy Stakes 3rd Rd.)
I think #1 BF Par Snipe from the Agganis Kennel heard the critics saying she couldn’t hold on to leads and took it out on the competition last round. A seven length dominating performance has Snipe right back in the conversation for winning this Tournament. The best box popper of any greyhound at Palm Beach will certainly take the lead again today. Can anybody catch?
I’m thinking no. #3 Modified Series from Rader Racing has the best close of any racer in this field but is certainly not in the class of Snipe. #8 Amf Ex Quake is sitting in a nice spot on the outside and could be an upset contender if she’s in the mix.
Snipe is going to get such a huge lead in this one. Snipe gets the twofer and bolts in the semi-finals.

*Oaks Maddy*
Race 15 Grade SA 545 Yards (Puppy Stakes 3rd Rd)
My pick to win it all #4 Oaks Maddy from Rader Racing showed her dominance in the 2nd Rd, pounding her competition to the tune of a 29.54 secs victory. Should absolutely take the lead in this one and take her second straight victory. This is a future national superstar without question.
Watch out for season wins leader #7 PJ St Pierre, who ran poorly last round but should bounce back against a weak field today. Easy Quiniela with the Rader Racing duo here.
