Owned and trained by C.R. Trout, Ekati’s Hit showed significant promise in her debut sprinting 6 furlongs at Remington, where she rallied strongly from eighth place to win an open maiden race. The 75 Brisnet Speed rating she posted fits well in the Slide Show S. field, and while the jump into stakes company is a question mark, facing fellow Oklahoma-breds should make Ekati’s Hit’s task a bit easier.
As a daughter of Wood Memorial (G1) winner Tale of Ekati, out of a mare by West Virginia Derby (G2) winner Concord Point, Ekati’s Hit has the pedigree to improve on the stretch out to a mile.
Let’s key Ekati’s Hit in the exacta, with Gotta See Red and Twilight Curfew.
$8 exacta: 1,3 with 6 ($16)
$7 exacta: 6 with 1,3 ($14)
Total: $30
Good luck!
