Santa Anita - Arcadia Stakes, February 1, 2014

Santa Anita Arcadia Stakes One Mile - Turf Saturday, February 1, 2014 Race 8, Post Time 7:05 pm ET

With UNBRIDLED'S NOTE, REGALLY READY and WINNING PRIZE all looking for the lead, SUGGESTIVE BOY should get a dream set up and can win if ready to roll off the nearly one-year layoff. The six-year-old Argentine has come off of layoffs and won before, but this will be the longest of his career. After coming from off the pace in his first two U.S. races, NO JET LAG has been closer to the pace in his last two. He was only two lengths off a hot pace in the Breeders' Cup Mile then was only a head back in a Grade 2 over the Santa Anita turf back in December. Expect jockey Corey Nakatani to take back from post 10 and make one run late. VAGABOND SHOES is not racing at his best distance; however, with the hot pace he could be heard from late. The Irish-bred gelding finished fifth in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Turf in his last start and looks to have been working well in the morning. TOM'S TRIBUTE should be in a good spot turning for home and will get first run on the leaders then will have to dig if he is to hold off the closers.
