Autumn View's Aim at Glory?
Race 1: Post time 4:00 pm ET
Race 3: Post time 5:01 pm ET
Started strong in the pick-6 on Thursday and ended with the double, but missed the three races in between. Let's try to better that on Friday.
Race 3: AUTUMN VIEW is going to be a single on many pick 6 tickets, 6-5 on the morning line and likely to go lower. Unless someone else takes money, she is the one to wager on. PROVENANCE looks second best.
Race 4: In a race that should unfold at a pretty fast pace, E EQUALSMCSQUARED deserves the long shot look. She finished fifth as the favorite at a higher class level last out and has come back to work well for trainer Eric Kruljac. WRITER FEVER looked good breaking her maiden in January and has also been doing well in the mornings for her first start in two months.
Race 5: JET WARRIOR and BETTYS BAMBINO are tough to separate in this turf sprint down the hill. JET WARRIOR has already won down the hill while BETTYS BAMBINO is bred to love the surface switch.
Race 6: XUANG FENG takes an absolute monster drop in class, puts the blinkers on and if the five-year-old gelding is going to win, this is the race. He will be bet early and often. ROAD READY also drops in class, but it's not as steep a drop as the favorites.
Race 7: 10 furlong race on the turf and anything can happen. BOYETT and DEEP PLAY will be setting the pace, MAMBO MAN and PERFECT SET will be stalking the pace with LIME RICKEY making a run late. LIME RICKEY is the class of the field, but has not run since the Grade 2 Whittingham at Hollywood Park last June.
Race 8: Thursday's last race was tough, but Friday's last race offers some relief for those who like to play small tickets. CHARBROILED looks to be a standout and can break his maiden for trainer Karen Headley. The Surf Cat gelding finished second at this level in his last start, but was nine and one-half lengths clear of the third place finisher. The added distance should help. Deeper tickets may want to consider ICE CREAM TRUCK, MURMANSK and JIMRONY.
