Four wins down entering last Wednesday’s program at Saratoga, Todd Pletcher now leads Chad Brown by two in the race for leading trainer.

Pletcher and Brown will each be well-represented in Monday’s closing-day program, with the advantage going to Pletcher, who has 12 horses in eight races. Brown’s seven entrants come in only four races.

Brown has lost 23 straight at the Spa since winning the sixth race on August 31 with Strong Incentive.

Pletcher, who has won five straight H. Allen Jerkens training titles and 11 overall, rallied over the last week, winning a race on Wednesday (September 2), a pair on Thursday and three Saturday to storm back in front, including the Woodward (G1) with Liam’s Map and Spinaway (G1) with Rachel’s Valentina.

Pletcher has a total of 32 wins from 162 starters (20%), with 28 seconds and 21 thirds.

Brown has compiled 30 wins from 134 starts (22%), with 21 seconds and 20 thirds.

Here is a look at both trainer’s horses Monday, all of which are in the main body of their respective fields (Brown is part of three entries with other trainers and all have different jockeys named):
