KINGS vs QUEENS CLASSIC
Friday evening at Southland will be highlighted by the running of the inaugural KINGS VS QUEENS Classic Challenge and is featuring nine very talented greyhounds going paw to paw in their battle for the win. The winner will be invited to the prestigious DAYTONA 550 national championship which will be held on Saturday, January 23. The recently completed 2015 Festival of Stakes provided the entries with the top four finishers in the Female Sprint (won by Mega Nerfetta) and the top four finishers in the Male Sprint (won by Chasmo's Dutch) along with the Juvenile Champ winner chosen as the wildcard pick (Mega Blackboard) all getting a spot in this race. The David Blair Kennel leads the way by having 5 of the entries and Lester Raines has 2 of them. Mike Harris and the Northshore Kennel each have one greyhound entered. Post positions for this outstanding field have been drawn and they are listed below. This should be one highly competitive event and one full of exciting and entertaining greyhound racing. Good luck to all and thanks for reading.

When you have a race that includes 3 stakes winners from last week's Festival Of Stakes championships (Chasmo's Dutch - Male Sprint Champ, Mega Nerfetta - Female Sprint Champ and Mega Backboard - Juvenile Champ) who by the way drew post positions right next to each other 5th, 6th & 7th, along with two second place, two third place and two fourth place finishers from the Festival Of Stakes Male & Female Sprint finals, it has to be considered as one of the strongest greyhound fields for a race you will see this year. In less than a month, these 9 greyhounds have accumulated 20 wins and 13 second place finishes in a total of 45 races, and it's even more impressive when you consider that those 33 top two finishes came in Grade A & Grade AA stakes racing. Enjoy what is sure to be a race to be remembered and best of luck to all greyhounds and their connections.
MONEYMAKER MIKE'S pick to win is CHAMOS'S DUTCH - 5 box and for a longshot pick I will go with PJ REFINED - 1 box as I like her efforts and results when she draws that box.
Thanks for reading and good luck to everyone.
