SOUTHLAND Preview - Monday twilight, March 2
Welcome to another Monday of exciting greyhound racing at Southland and on tap are 18 entertaining races for our viewing and wagering pleasure. I've selected a couple of good longshot opportunities and a couple of top grade contests that I believe can help us start the week by putting some money in our pockets and I've listed those races below for you to check out. Good luck to all and thanks for reading.
Good luck to everyone and thanks for reading.
Race 2 - Grade B - 660 yard course
The pick here is the (7) KL'S HARVEY. With his early speed I look for him to be one of the frontrunners right out of the box and find a running lane in which to challenge for the win. I will play the (7) with the 2/5/6/8 in quinielas and the 7-all-6-all, 7-all-all-6, all-7-6-all & all-7-all-6 in the dime superfecta.Race 13 - Grade AA - 660 yard course
I'm going with the (7) KL'S NO REGRETS as the key in this one. I look for him to get back on the winning track and make it 4 wins out of his last 5 races as I see him challenging for the lead right out of the box and pulling away once he gets the front. He's a young greyhound with tons of potential and has already displayed his talents as evidenced by his 7 wins in 15 career starts. I will play the (7) with the 2/5/6 in quinielas and in the dime superfecta will play 7-all-3-all, 7-all-all-3, all-7-3-all & all-7-all-3.Race 17 - Grade AA - 583 yard course
The pick here is the (2) SOVEREIGN ISLAND. This young greyhound has had only 8 starts in his career but has 8 top four finishes which includes 5 wins and 2 second place efforts. Likes the inside, has a good rush to the turn and has also shown some late speed when needed. The future is very bright for him and I'll play the (2) with the 1/3/6 in the quinielas and trifectas.Race 15- Grade TAA - 703 yard course
Here is the MoneyMaker play of the evening and the pick is the (6) KIOWA GROOM. She's a mid-track runner with tons of early speed and by dropping back from the 820 yard distance to the 703 distance I think gives her the edge in this one. I will play quinielas keying the (6) with the 1/3/7/8.Good luck to everyone and thanks for reading.
