SOUTHLAND Preview - Sunday matinee, December 7
Welcome to another Sunday matinee at Southland Greyhound Park. There are 18 exciting races for this afternoon and included are four races that appear to be good wagering opportunities for a nice return on investment. I have listed the picks below so check them out and let's get ready to put some cash in our pockets. Good luck to everyone and thanks for reading.
Race 4 - In this race, a Grade A contest over the 583 yard course, the pick is the (4) TC'S MIKE TROUT. It hasn't taken long for this young greyhound to move up the ladder in grade as he already has four wins in his 13 starts, as well as four seconds, a third and a fourth place finish. A big rush to the turn along with a strong late move down the stretch goes well with his inside running style and I'll give him a solid play here to be among the leaders at the wire.
Race 9 - This contest is a Grade AA race over the 583 yard course and I'm going with the (3) WW'S DOVE HOUSE. He has good early speed to go along with his inside running style and the three box may be the edge he needs here to break clean, avoid early trouble and be in good position to get his 3rd win in his last 6 races. Worth a shot here in case he hits the lid.
Race 14 - In this MoneyMaker play, a Grade C race over the 660 yard course, I like the (7) FLYING YAHOO to come back with a much better run in this, his 2nd time over the 660 distance. He ran 5th last time out after being blocked on both turns and still gave a darn good effort. I like him to be out of the box quick and find running room early and challenge strongly for the win.
Race 17 - Here is the always popular 820 super marathon race, a Grade TAA contest and I'm going with the (8) KR'S ALL AMPED UP as the key. In her last race, she encountered much trouble but I don't see that happening here as I believe she will get out in better position today as she finds running room on the inside and takes it from there. She is, by the way, the recently crowned winner of the Super Marathon Division of the Southland 2014 Festival Of Stakes tournament.
Thanks for reading and good luck to all.
