SOUTHLAND Preview - Wednesday twilight, February 10
Welcome to another Wednesday at Southland with 18 exciting greyhound races on tap for this twilight program. There are several races that drew my interest as potentially good wagering opportunities and I've listed those below. Good luck to all and thanks for reading.
Race 1 - Grade A - 583 yard course - Key 5 with 1/2/6 in quinielas and tri's and will also play the 5 to beat the 3 in the superfecta.
I like the (5) BORDER LARK as the key here being a drop in class and having potential to hit the lid and find running room early for his mid to wide running style. His last four efforts haven't been up par but before that, he had 5 straight top 3 finishes including 2 wins and 2 seconds in Grade A/AA. I look for him to get back in form here.
Race 8 - Grade TD - 660 yard course - Key 1 with 4/5/6 in quinielas and tri's and will also play the 1 to beat the 2 in the superfecta.
The (1) TJ'S VOIDWALKER is the key in this one as she has been running hard at this distance as evidenced by her last 3 races over this course where she has a second and two third place finishes. Lots of early speed and I look for her to go to the front and hold the lead this time.
Race 10 - Grade AA - 583 yard course - Key 5 with 1/4/6 in quinielas and tri's and will also play the 5 to beat the 7 in the superfecta.
The (5) U TOO PURE SILK is the pick in this one as I believe he goes to the front early while avoiding any trouble and picks up another win. He has a streak of 7 straight top three finishes going which includes 4 wins in the top grade (AA) here at Southland so look for him to keep the hot streak going.
Race 14 - Grade B - 660 yard course - Key 5 with 1/6/8 in quinielas and tri's and will also play the 5 to beat the 7 in the superfecta.
This is the MONEYMAKER pick of the evening as I'm going with the (5) FLYING SHADED as the key. He's a mid to wide runner coming off a win from the same five box he has this evening. Solid B runner who dropped to C grade last time out, I look for him to come right back with a big race here.
