SOUTHLAND preview - Wednesday twilight, July 13
Wednesday's racing action at Southland should be full of exciting & entertaining paw to paw action and I'm going to be watching 3 greyhounds in particular to see how they do. There are 18 races on the program and I'll take a look at the 3 races that involved the greyhounds that I've been following as of late. We did have two winners with our 3 Sunday picks so let's see if we can match that here. Race 2 - Here we have a young greyhound who schooled well but then ran 6th in her first official race. I do look for a much better effort from her in this one. UNORETHADOXX (box 2) is back on the inside and her schooling wins came from the 1 and 3 box.
Race 7 - l am looking for SOVEREIGN ISLAND (box 8) to give a big effort here and hopefully will get some help from the 6 & 7 boxes as they both have early speed and like the inside so there may be a lane for him to run in. He's been encountering trouble in several races as of late and if he gets clear here, he may make it 2 wins in a row.
Race 13 - Here we have the hard running and very talented CHASMO'S DUTCH (box 4) going for his fourth straight win and trying to make it 6 wins in his last 7 races, including the recent 2016 SOUTHLAND DERBY stakes championship that he won a week or so ago. He's the real deal and always a fan favorite so best of luck to him as he tries to keep his winning streak going.
