A total of seven stakes events will be held at Monmouth Park on Saturday during the signature day of racing at the summer meeting.

Race 4 โ€“ Monmouth Cup (G3)

A high-quality field of six will go in the 1 1/8-mile run on the main oval. Multiple Grade 3 winner #4 Knightsbridge (7-5) will make his two-turn debut in the tilt for conditioner Bill Mott, and if the son of Nyquist will ever handle nine panels, then I think that it will come on this oval. The fleet five-year-old is the controlling speed in the contest, and I love his chances to lead throughout with Flavien Prat riding

Race 6 โ€“ Molly Pitcher (G2)

Fillies and mares will travel 1 1/16 miles on the dirt with a fine field of seven signed on. #5 Nerazurri (5-1) might fly under the radar a bit in the race, but I expect the Casse trainee to put in a big performance on Saturday. The bay daughter of Protonico is a multiple stakes queen with a good amount of speed, and she had a nice prep for this when dusting lesser in the Lady Jacqueline S. at Thistle Down in her latest showing. Luis Saez will ride and put the mare in the mix from the break.

Race 9 โ€“ Wolf Hill S.

A total of 10 runners will vie in the 5 1/2-furlong dash on the grass in this heat. #1 Souper Quest (4-1) was a very good second on the course last time and will be a major threat with even slight improvement with Irad in the silks. The Munnings gelding is a six-time victor on the grass and has the versatility to go to the lead or rally from off the pace with effectiveness. The Mark Casse pupil has been second in both lifetime runs on the oval and could be of some value in the dash.

Race 10 โ€“ Regret S.

A big field of fillies and mares will sprint on the dirt with numerous viable contenders in the mix. #5 Echo Sound (5-2), one of two in the field for Rusty Arnold, tailed off at the end of her 2025 season, but she runs well while fresh, and I expect her to cross the wire first in the tilt. Two-time Grade-3 winning four-year-old will be close early before inching clear late beneath Saez.
