Turf Classic for 4&Up going 1-1/8 mi (T)
STAR CHANNEL, OLD TIME HOCKEY and BAD DEBT finished one-two-three in the Sunshine Millions Turf at Gulfstream Park in January and the three Florida-breds are back to renew their rivalry in the Tampa Turf Classic. So who is the top pick? ALLEY OOP OOP is; to score the upset for the Jacks or Better Farm and trainer Stanley Gold. ALLEY OOP OOP is making his third start off a layoff and going dirt to turf. The six-year-old finished fifth in this race last year and is Grade 3 placed. If he has one more good run in him, Saturday will be the day. HOBBS won this race last year, but has yet to find the winner's circle in his last seven runs. ALLIE'S EVENT has run 15 times over the Tampa turf with five wins and six seconds. He was seventh in the race last year and will need to prove he can run with these. STAR CHANNEL, OLD TIME HOCKEY and BAD DEBT are definitely the ones to beat and all three should be on any pick-4 or pick-5 wager. EVOLUTION ROCKS looks like a rolling single in race 10, the Sprint Stakes, and should be heavily bet. Do not expect anywhere close to his 2-1 morning line. Race eight, the Sophomore Fillies Stakes, starts the pick-5 while the Turf kicks off the pick-4.
