Upsets Abound in Blue Chip Matchmaker
Yonkers Raceway hosted a pair of Blue Chip Matchmaker fourth round divisions on Friday night and upsets were the norm as the free-for-all mares battled for spots for the April 22 final and consolation.
In the first split, Lispatty recorded her first win in four BCMM tries when she rallied from just off the pace to prevail in 1:55. Owned and trained by Gilbert Garcia-Herrera, Lispatty climbed into finals contention by earning a narrow victory over an unlucky Divas Image in the slower division.

Then in the second BCMM, Medusa also notched her first win in four series tries by leading throughout in 1:53.3 and her fifth win in 13 starts this year for trainer Andrew Federico, Jr. Medusa also climbed into finals consideration heading into the final round of prelims next week, while Mackenzie A and Mach It A Par closed willingly for second and third to move closer to the final. Two-time series winner Shesjustadelight N rallied from post eight and third over for fifth and is destined for the final.
Saturdays card features three divisions of the fourth round of the George Morton Levy Series. Three-time leg winner Missile J has bypassed the fourth round, but two-time winners Keystone Velocity and Soto and defending Levy final hero Bit Of A Legend N and stablemate Provocativeprince N both seek their second series tallies.
